Technology has transformed the way we communicate. We can connect with people anywhere, anytime and that’s a great thing.
But sometimes the most meaningful conversations still happen when we take the time to pick up the phone, ask a question, listen properly, and understand the person on the other end.
A conversation can uncover things an email never will:
💬 The real challenge a business is facing
💬 What motivates someone to make their next career move
💬 The ideas, concerns and opportunities that sit beneath the surface
In business, trust isn’t built through transactions alone. It’s built through connection, understanding and taking the time to genuinely listen.
For me, this has always been at the heart of recruitment. The best outcomes come from understanding the bigger picture - not just matching a job description with a resume but understanding the people and businesses behind them.
So, this Friday’s reminder:
